Avon Your Avon Avon Company Suncoast Products

Welcome to the home of District 1333!

Tamara Gervacio - DSM I'm Tamara Gervacio, your District Sales Manager. I'd like to share with you a little about my life. I was born in the Dominican Republic. In August, 1986, I came to the United States after studying medicine in the UCE University. I have been married 18 years to a wonderful husband and we have three children.

As a Hispanic in America, my major barrier was the language. I didn't speak one word in English. I couldn't even count to ten. My favorite phrases were, "thank you" and "I'm sorry". I had to work very hard in different factories, nursing homes, hospitals, and finally as an Avon Representative. As an Avon Representative I was making enough income to be able to stay home and attend college (studied English for four years as a second language). In 199, I completed my entire requirement towards a Liberal Arts degree in Psychology.

In 1987 I started selling Avon. My major goal in the first year was to be in the President Club Levels and get the Miss Albee Doll Award. I didn't get that. Finally, the third year I was invited to attend the Avon Recognition Program. There I could appreciate how Avon recognized other Avon Representatives for selling more than $50,000 in one year. I was impressed! At that moment I saw a whole world od opportunity in front of me and a thought came to my mind: "Why am I flying so low when I can fly high?" At that meeting I set a goal: the next year I will be one of them and ... WITH AVON ALL OF MY DREAMS WILL COME TRUE.

Yes, I did it! The following year I sold more than $50,000 and since that day, I have been President Assembly member for seven years. I received all of the previous level awards, for example: City #1 in sales increases over seven years with total sales between $100,000 and $200,000 per year; #1 in sales volume; recruiting; and the best customer service. At the same time I was a Foster Parent Trainer for the Division Abuse Family Services in New Jersey and a Foster Mother that through the years cared for more than 15 children who were mentally and physically abused. I also was a full time college student with a husband and a house to care for.

You might ask, "How did I do that?". I did it with the help of God (for Him is the glory), the support of my family members, and a lot of persistence! Today, as your District Sales Manager, I will share with you all of my acquired experience, education, creativity, talents and commitment, as well as my techniques on how a business can grow and how to manage your time wisely.

Please come to our sales meeting the last Thursday of each month from 6:00PM to 7:00PM in English and 7:30PM to 8:30PM in Spanish. You will be educated and rewarded for your achievements. There will be raffles and plenty of surprises. I guarantee you will have a good time!

Sincerely,

Tamara Gavacio
